MASTER VINYL PACKAGING CLASS: Printers & Art Directors Unite!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Stoughton Printing's former president, Jack Stoughton, Jr, and award-winning Art Director David Gorman will team up to discuss why packaging is the most important driver for vinyl sales and how the best packaging is created when the art director and the printer work in close collaboration.

Too often potentially great ideas are killed off and mediocre packages slip into the marketplace when art directors and printers are separated by lazy assumptions and rigid rate cards. Pair them up at the beginning of a project, and they can work together to find practical, affordable solutions to create groundbreaking, fan-baiting releases.

Both Jack and David's proudest packaging acheivements resulted from this type of interaction and, as a result, have become passionate advocates for breaking down the walls between the roles of the designers and the manufacturers who bring their visions to life.
